NCC is seeking volunteers to work with first time truancy offenders and their families. The goal of the program is to divert truant students from further involvement in the Juvenile Justice System. When a family is referred to NCC, then a panel of NCC volunteers meet with the student and the parents to establish the root of the truancy problem. Together the student, parents, and the NCC panel of volunteers develop a positive action plan for the student.
To volunteer, complete the Volunteer Application, Criminal History-Background Disclosure, and Authorization for Release of Records/Background forms and email them to mminer@wilco.org. See the Volunteer Disqualification Standards to see if you are an eligible volunteer.
